Since I can't go...

...here I guess a trip to the zoo will have to do!
Alyssa called me on Saturday and asked if I was busy, which I wasn't so we packed up our kids and spent a few hours at our local zoo! It was a beautiful day and the kids had so much fun.

Eli just chillin' in the stroller

Little Friend Aidan

My friend Stefanie and her little boy Aidan came over on Thursday. The boys are only two months apart so they had lots of fun drooling over toys together.

Crawling backwards...

Doesn't

Exactly

Work!!!

Elijah playing

Eli is still not crawling, but he somehow manages to move himself to wherever it is he wants to go, it just takes him a while.

My blue eyed boy and a great picture of his two bottom teeth!

Looks like he knows what he's doing

Just having fun and being sweet!

What fun!

We were supposed to have both Courtney and Tori over for the night, but unfortunately Courtney got sick and had to stay home. Lucky for us, Tori decided she still wanted to come spend some time with us! Chloe and Eli had a lot of fun with her. It's hard to believe that this young lady is the little imp I used to watch! She helped entertain Chloe by dressing her up, playing with Legos, and reading countless books to her, all interspersed with little bits of snuggles to Eli, because who can resist that sweet little boy? The weather was so great we also took a walk down to the "blue park" as we used to refer to it back when she was a little girl (and I continue to call it) and helped Chloe burn off a little excess energy!

Chloe all dressed up!

Chocolate Cake!

I was making chocolate cake a while ago, and of course my little helper came running into the kitchen with her stool in hand so she could help pour and stir the cake. This recipe takes a lot of cocoa powder and the box was nearly empty so I let Chloe play with the tiny bit that was left in the container... She thought she had hit the mother lode and started dumping it into her mouth as fast as she could, only to go running over to the dish towel and wipe her mouth and as much of the cocoa powder as she could off of her tongue! It was so funny and is something I think everyone remembers doing... Getting into the cocoa only to discover it's NOT sweet!!
